Prof. Wang Xiaolie Signs a Cooperative Agreement with Mineral Resources Bureau of Cambodia

On September 9th, 2016, Deputy Director General of China Geological Survey (CGS) and Executive Vice-President of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Prof. Wang Xiaolie signed an agreement on the cooperation in low-density geochemical mapping with Mineral Resources Bureau of Cambodia. This is the first project agreement signed between CGS and Mineral Resources Bureau of Cambodia after the signing of the MOU between the two sides on June 29th, 2016.



This agreement includes a 1:100 low-density geochemical mapping project and a geochemical mapping training course for Cambodian technical staff. After signing of the agreement, CGS held a bilateral meeting with Cambodian colleagues where both sides agreed on the following issues: 1. CGS to send an expert group to Cambodia to conduct a joint field excursion; 2. Primarily agree on the cooperative project in hydrogeological survey; 3. Both sides to continue their contact concerning the contents of the agreement on a cooperative project in marine geological survey; 4. CGS to invite Cambodian techical staff to Chengdu and Qingdao to learn techniques applied to geochemical analysis and marine geosurvey.
