Deep-2018 Opens in Beijing
Officials from Department of Science and Technology Ministry of Natural Resources, Department of Science and Technology Ministry of Education, Bureau of Major R&D Programs Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Chinese academy of sciences, Institute of China Earthquake Administration, as well as related departments and subordinate units of China Geological Survey attended the opening ceremony, together with scientists engaged in the scientific research of deep earth exploration from more than 20 countries and regions, including the US, Canada, Russia, Australia, Italy, Japan, Britain, Germany, Denmark, Spain, India, Poland, Sweden and China. Also present were over 300 researchers, academician and expert representatives who are engaged in special research projects of deep detection technology and experiment, and of deep land resources exploration and exploitation in China.
DEEP-2018 is hosted by China Geological Survey Ministry of Natural Resources and National Natural Science Foundation of China, co-organized by International Union of Geological Sciences, Committee on the lithosphere International Lithosphere Program, International Continental Drilling Program, Deep Carbon Recycling, and four national key laboratories owned by Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Seismological Bureau, at Center for Deep Earth Exploration of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences.
