A new CAGS compound is under construction in Yongfeng High and New Industrial Base in Haidian District, Beijing to further expand its office space for geological research and experiments.In accordance with the layout plan approved by the relevant Chinese governmental authorities, the new compound will cover a total area of 92 mu (about 61,333 m²) and host 75,544 m² of floor area.

The compound is designed to mainly comprise of 3 major buildings for geological research and experiments and to host 9 CAGS laboratories of national and ministerial level. The compound is expected to come into use in mid 2017.
