 Prof. Wang Xiaolie

Vice President (Director General) of the China Geological Survey

Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences

 

Born in Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province in November 1956, Prof. Wang Xiaolie graduated from the then Changchun College of Geology in 1982, majoring in metal and non-metal geophysical prospecting. Prof. Wang Xiaolie worked with the Jiangxi Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources from January 1983 to August 2010. He was appointed as the Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in September 2010 and Vice President (Director General) of the China Geological Survey in May 2012. Prof. Wang Xiaolie also serves as a Guest Professor at the Nanjing University and the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).

 

 

 

Prof. Zhu Lixin

Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences

 

Born in Luan County, Hebei Province in January 1963, Prof. Zhu Lixin graduated from the then Changchun College of Geology in 1982, majoring in mineral geology and prospecting. He obtained his M.Sc. in mineral geology and prospecting from the Changchun College of Geology in 1988 and got his Ph.D. in geochemistry from the Jilin University in 2003. Prof. Zhu Lixin was appointed as the Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in April 2005. Prof. Zhu Lixin also serves as the Secretary General of the Geological Society of China after being elected in February 2006.

 

 

  

 Prof. Wang Ruijiang

Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences

 

Born in Henan Province in March 1956, Prof. Wang Ruijiang graduated from the then Wuhan College of Geology in 1982, and received his M.Sc. from the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 1987 and Ph.D. from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in 1990. He majored in geomechanics. Prof. Wang Ruijiang was appointed as the Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in September 2010. He also serves as a Guest Professor at the China University of Geosciences (Beijing), and the Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Mineral Deposits of the Geological Society of China.

 

 

 

  Prof. Wu Zhenhan

Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences

 

Born in Yuyao County, Jiangxi Province in 1965, Prof. Wu Zhenhan graduated from the then Wuhan College of College of Geology in 1985, majoring in mineralogy. He received his M.Sc. in geomechanics and Ph.D. in structural geology from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in 1988 and 1993 respectively. Prof. Wu was appointed as the Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in July 2011. He has been engaged in the research on regional mineralization, regional geological survey and geo-hazards assessment, and has published 8 monographs and over 60 first-authored papers.
